The more you use your dryer the more lint is going to build up inside the dryer vent. Lint production occurs when water is being removed from laundry during the drying cycle. An average load of laundry holds approximately one and a half gallons of water, leading to a decent amount of lint produced from a normal-sized load. Dryer vents should be cleaned every two years, but some may need more attention than others. After your initial dryer vent cleaning you should have it checked again one year later to better judge your cleaning needs. Contact MC Duct Cleaning & Chimney Sweep to have your dryer vent inspected and cleaned today!
We use a brush and vacuum system that removes all of the lint build-up that has accumulated over the years.  Doing so allows for efficient exhaust for the dryer, helping to decrease drying time and preventing parts in the dryer from burning out orhaving to be replaced.  This method is extremely effective in preventing fires.

Signs Your Dryer Vent May Need Cleaning, Repair, or Replacement:

  • Your clothes are too hot or still damp even after completing a full drying cycle.
  • An overabundance of lint on or around the outside dryer vent hood.
  • You have gone 5+ years without have thing unit serviced.
